Drop the 7z archive (do not extract it) where the 1.1.0 exe and ddraw.dll are located.
Boot the game and select REALISTIC RESIDENT EVIL 2.
Enjoy.

Hello,
Thanks for the mod, but i have an issue. I’m using Windows 10, and in order to start the game, I have to change the compability to Windows 95 or 98, and when I run the game with the mod, nothing happens. The window that show if I use the mod or the vanilla version doesn’t show up. But, if I change the compability to Windows 7 or XP or Vista, that window will show up, I select the mod or the vanilla version but the game show me a strange message and the game won’t run. I think that window that let you choose between run the game without mods or with mods should appears if I run the game in Window 95 or 98 compability, because if I select other Window version, I can’t even run the game with or without mods.
Thanks for all this stuff you’re doing, it’s remarkable. Keep up the good work!
did you install through the setup or did you extract the data? you have to go through the installation process or it won’t let you play. I didn’t have to mess with compatibility mode, that’s really odd.
goznog is correct: perform a clean full install. Compatibility modes are not required, they actually cause more harm than they are supposed to fix. You don’t need admin rights either.
Sorry for my late reply. First of all, thank you very much for your replies, goznog and Gemini. I reinstalled the game but this time using the inst.exe from inst folder of the disc. I replaced the exe of the game, bio2.exe, for other in order to get the 1.1.0 version and now works very well. It’s strange because I usually install the game via the setup.exe and always have to change the compability, but now if I use the inst.exe, it worked nice without changing the compability.
Hi Gemini, thank you for all your amazing work. I am hoping you might help me with a couple of things. Firstly, how can I implement your QuickTurn mod on it’s own, without the invincible zombies, etc? I’m guessing these changes are included in the .dll file? How can I edit this? Also, I tried using the mod.7z method to replace some textures in the game, and I keep finding that anything above the original image size causes problems such as a colour band thing, weird distortions, oversized images (seeing only a part of it) and even the game crashing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, and thanks again for this amazing work.
Quick turn can be enabled via config.ini, it’s a global change. As for textures, it’s best to always use the original size, game still can’t go beyond 256×256.

That Wesker model was sick, the best I’ve ever seen.
